Through the years we were strong together
We stayed intact in travelling the hills and valleys of life
Our family is always a constant blessing to thank the Lord
Not only our looks differ but also our personalities
But we managed to get along well with each other because of respect and love
I am glad that I can all ours, a lovely family
Tatay and Nanay succeeded in inculcating in us good values
They were our models of generosity, perseverance, and contentment
They are not perfect but definitely irreplaceable
I do not want a better life in exchange for a sibling
A brother or sister is way better than a bigger slice of bread or meat
I'll love fighting over a TV channel than watch a movie alone
I cannot help but smile remembering that a single blanket could cover us all
How amazing it was that a can of sardines is enough for a family of seven
That most of our bonding time is on cleaning
We do not have pennies and diamonds
What we have are priceless memories of good cheer and strong relationships
We cannot deny, God has been faithful in sustaining us all these years
We argue and misunderstand each other in one way or another
I am glad that we are reconciled before the next meal is serve
We plan our future including everybody's welfare
By God's grace, our commitment to call ourselves a family shall stand
A family where the Lord is the center thereof
A family which honors the Lord :-)
To Jesus I commit,
In this lifetime, we shall be a household of praise
In eternity, we will still be a family with God as our Father.
