Whatever a person's field of interest or calling, the fruit of his labor must be driven by his commitment to honor God in his work. When we do things for the Lord, necessarily the people around us are blessed with our dedication and hard work. Our relationship with our colleagues is enriched as we live out the values and virtues we learn from Christ's life.

Everyone, no matter what is his position at work, whether he is the president, manager etc,  must follow the example of Christ's humility who being God did not hesitate to perform the lowest form of task, "washing   the feet of his disciples". At present, we could not literally do the washing of other's feet but there are various means we could do that will exemplify humility and servanthood, specially those things which others do not expect of us doing. For example, washing the dishes after sharing a meal, do sweeping, and simple way of restraining ourselves from asking others to do tasks which we are capable of doing. If task delegation is necessary, as when there is time constraint to finish the work, we should not forget to say please and thank you afterwards.

Matthew 20:26-28
Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. 27 And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

We should always wear a smile when we go to our respective offices no matter what kind of waking we had,  how bad the dream was, or at times we lack sleep. That might be easier said than done but like any other circumstance, our attitude is born out of our personal decisions. Making everything right before going about the day is important. How? We should encounter God and imbibe His goodness early morning :-) As we read the Bible, we are reminded of our frailties which His sovereignty can overcome. Before getting out of bed, we pray that God will enable us to live the day as may be pleasurable before His eyes.

Philippians 2:13
for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

Our portion for the day may not always be favorable but we must not lose heart knowing the character of the God we serve is good. If we never lose sight of His true nature, there is no way that our joy will be robbed. Some struggles in life may distract us at times but they must not dictate our disposition and must not drive us to live life as if we have no hope. We must always conclude our day with a thankful heart and find rest for our souls to be ready for another victorious day coming every tomorrow.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

With Christ, life is not problem-free but it is problem-proof :-)

BY THE WAY, when I was in the hospital, I had the chance to watch Daystar and listened to Joseph Prince's preaching. One line he said that remained in my head,

"If you see God's grace, that's when God sees your faith."

The teaching was centered on Mark 5:21-34, the woman bleeding for 12 years and was instantly healed upon touching the Master's robe.

A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed

21 Now when Jesus had crossed over again by boat to the other side, a great multitude gathered to Him; and He was by the sea. 22 And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet 23 and begged Him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.” 24 So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him.

25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said,“Who touched My clothes?”

31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’”

32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. 33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. 34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

My personal notes from the passages:

1. Christ was on His way to heal a 12-year old girl. There was another sick person, the woman bleeding in 12 years, who in their tradition must not come near the crowd due to her sickness, she is considered unclean, but she braved her way to the Healer. Take note the bleeding woman suffered from her former physicians.

Is it not like our personal circumstances where we struggle over one thing and resorted to many options to get rid of the same but ended to no avail? Christ is always around where and when we needed Him but in our attempts to find remedy outside His will that we go astray. Even we go afar off, He is accessible but we have to do our own part to get through Him that close. It is a personal choice to experience Christ in life and His miracles.

2. Immediately, the woman God healed. How instantaneous is God's response to us. When go near Him, we feel His deliverance, forgiveness, love, joy, peace in our life right away but things do end there because we have a lifetime to enjoy His goodness and heaven awaits us for eternal joy in His presence. Yes a lifetime of growing relationship with God where each day is an opportunity to know Him more and to love Him more.

3.Christ is omniscient, He knows everything, but why did He ask as to who touched Him?

For me, it was no that he did not know who did but it was His way of calling the woman into confession :-) We should not fear our loving God because He is just to forgive our sins.

Did you recognize too the fact that He noticed that He was touched despite the mob/crowd?

God KNOWS when He releases healing, mercy, love etc. He does it intentionally and personally. How sweet of Jesus :-) hehe

Romans 10:17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

If I keep seeking and seeing His grace then He'll see my faith and my faith will heal me. :-)

It is 2015 already and I'm still having dreams of you. tsktsk Lord help.
